Well, currently is still busy with the 'library renovating' and yeah just having lunch and now here we are again with the planning and drawing. Its an interesting thing to do actually and yeah maybe when it comes to working in a group the problems arise. Anyway, still it is interesting because in the end of the day, the most precious element that we will treasure is the very expensive experience.
Don't worry. I will update about this 'big project' into this blog soon, from time to time and yeah we will see how is the final result okay?

D.I.Y easy, unique, and lovely!

This is an easy step in making D.I.Y gift for your friends…

P/S: I did it for my friend’s wedding gift…

What you may need is:

1. Scissor

2. Coloured Paper

3. Glue ( and Cellotape)

4. Blank DVD

5. DVD Case

6. Glue

7. Printer

8. Laptop

Let us start now…

First, by using your laptop (of course) compile the wedding pictures and video as one single movie. You can use any movie maker software that you like (I’m using Windows Live Movie Maker) and once you’re finished burn in into a DVD.

Secondly, design the cover for you D.I.Y gift (The DVD cover). You can use any software that you like as well and you can just put anything that you want to be on the cover such as the title of the Movie, the groom’s name and so on. Since the DVD has back and front cover, you need to do two different designs to make it look better. You can also do another design for the inner part of the DVD cover (like I did).

Thirdly, you need to print it out in your preferred colored paper. Make sure the size is not too big (as more that half of the A4 paper) to prevent from having an ugly result (the best result is if the writing and drawing is put just nice at the center.

Fourthly, cut the printed designs according to the size of your DVD case. Make sure you measure them accurately to prevent the wasting of paper (and money).

Now that you have cut it out nicely, you can place them into their place (Front cover, back cover, inner side). Don’t forget to put a cello tape on every edge of the paper so that it wont fall when the gift receiver open them.

Finally, place the DVD inside and don’t forget to leave your autograph (as you are the artist) on the inner part of the DVD.

Now, you have a nice D.I.Y gift for your beloved friend. You may think that it looks cheap (of course it is – less than RM10) but it has a very expensive aesthetic value! Trust Me! So, what are you waiting for? Give it a try! Ok?
